Hannah Berner shares support for Blake Lively after calling her the C-word in Netflix comedy special

Hannah Berner — who called Blake Lively the C-word in her new comedy special — clarified that she supports the “Gossip Girl” actress amid her legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni.

“My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before news of the lawsuit,” the “Summer House” alum wrote on Instagram atop a photo of herself in the Netflix special, “Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year.”

She added, “To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo.”

A press release for the streaming service confirmed the special was filmed four days prior to Lively filing her bombshell complaint against Baldoni.

In the Netflix special, Berner, 33, joined other comedians to joke about the last year when she brought up Lively’s controversial summer.

“The word c–t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad,” she quipped in the special, which was released on Friday.

Berner didn’t elaborate on what she was specifically referencing, but she was most likely referring to a handful of old interviews of Lively that resurfaced amid the eyebrow-raising “It Ends With Us” press tour over the summer.

Lively, 37, faced backlash for past interviews where she commented on one woman’s “bump” when she was not pregnant, got irritated when another journalist asked about her relationship with Penn Badgley and said a transgender slur in a 2012 interview with Elle magazine.

Lively stayed tight-lipped at the time of the controversy, but she made headlines last week when she accused the “It Ends With Us” director of sexual harassment and trying to “destroy” her reputation in a legal complaint.

Lively –– who also played Baldoni’s love interest in the hit film –– claimed that Baldoni made her feel “uncomfortable” by confiding in her about his past porn addiction, sharing “nude videos or images of women,” asking about her weight and talking about her dead father.

The “Age of Adaline” star accused Baldoni of working with a crisis PR team to “bury” her by producing “manufactured content” that could “influence public opinion and thereby cause an organic pile-on.”

Baldoni has yet to address the controversy, but his attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Page Six that Lively’s suit was “another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activities that were observed publicly, in real time and unedited, which allowed for the internet to generate their own views and opinions.”

“It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations,” he added.

“These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media.”

Berner is among a slew of celebrities –– including Lively’s “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-stars –– to speak out in support of Lively.
